I‘m Mario and i’m a Graphic Designer

My creative career started when I first set foot inside my new school at the age of twelve. Het Grafisch Lyceum is where my love for all creative processes got shaped. My love for all things creative may have started long before I went to this school, but here I learned more about all different kinds of creative processes. Graphic design captured my attention. In the years that followed, I only grew to appreciate it more. Creating and designing new ideas and projects from scratch gave me a feeling of satisfaction. Every time a new project is finished, I like to look back and see how it all started. The creative process can be a rollercoaster ride with unexpected twists and turns. I think that’s exactly what made me fall in love with graphic design.

After I finished my education, I started to work at a company in Munich, Germany, named Red Blue Marketing. An experience of a lifetime. I’d never lived abroad or even on my own! I’ve never learned so much in such a short amount of time.

Adjusting to my new job, a new language, and new surroundings was a challenging as it was amazing. This experience taught me to be flexible and the awesomeness that is the Oktoberfest! After my Germany experience, I went back to The Netherlands where I worked for a number of other companies as a graphic designer. The companies were all quite different from each other. Working with different kinds of people in different environments taught me a lot about myself; the way I work and what my assets are. I like to think of new ideas and create them from scratch. I love working in a social environment where co-workers motivate each other. I’m flexible and can adjust my ideas and projects to fit different companies.

All these things I’ve learned during my time as an employee of different companies. During my education, my appreciation for graphic design started to take shape. However, as an employee, I finally felt the creative freedom to design and produce my ideas.
